Richard and Susan Hayden Academy Fellowship 2025 in London is offered to individuals from across the world who are working in academic sector, Non-governmental organisations, corporations, government departments, civil societies or media agencies. During this international fellowship program, fellows will participate in the fundamental work of the institute, develop their leadership skills, and expand their professional links in the area of international affairs.
This fully funded fellowship program is for individuals who are at early-to-mid-stage of their professional careers. It will provide them the opportunity to work on their chosen individual research projects during 10 months at Chatham House. Richard and Susan Hayden fellowship program for international candidates is divided between three areas. Firstly, fellows will select and design their individual project and complete them under the the guidance of a Chatham House expert. Secondly, fellows have to work with their host research team and other teams and add more knowledge to existing research according to the mission of Chatham House.
Thirdly, fellows will participate in the leadership program which will include intensive induction week, thematic sessions, leadership skills workshops, leadership briefings, project presentations, personal development coaching, media training, and career mentoring. Through this fellowship program in Europe, fellows will enhance their knowledge and will gain important skills which will be helpful for them in their future careers as leaders in their respective fields.

- The program will include cover cost of UK’s Immigration Healthcare Surcharge which will allow access to the UK National Health Service.
- The program will cover research, outreach and dissemination costs which will include fieldwork, travel, conferences, publication, roundtables, events, etc.
- After completing the program successfully, fellows will get access to The Academy faculty and alumni and five-year Chatham House membership.

Eligibility Criteria for Richard and Susan Hayden Academy Fellowship 2025 in London:
- Applicants must have completed BA degree or equivalent and should have experience in conducting research.
- Applicants should have knowledge about international affairs, the chosen area of their research, and the mission and research of Chatham House.
- Fellows have to work full-time so they cannot do any other work or studies.
- Applicants should have an undergraduate or postgraduate qualification or have equivalent professional training or experience in the relevant area.
- Applicants should have proven leadership experience or potential.
- Applicants should be motivated to meet all the objectives of the fellowship and take advantage of all the events and opportunities offered during the program.
- Applicants should have proficiency in spoken English.
