Youth Interfaith Leaders Fellowship is a fully funded leaderhsip program in USA which is a week-long residential program for the upcoming generation of climate leaders at Duke University. It provides young people with an excellent opportunity to become involved in the rapidly expanding network of climate actors who are inspired by faith. Fellows will learn how to create effective climate action programs for their communities through professional lectures, interactive sessions, discussions, and vocational training. Prominent experts in the fields of religious studies, media, community service, cross-cultural relations, and climate change will be delivering the program.
During this international fellowship program, fellows will gain a thorough understanding and application of principles in their work as community organizers and climate leaders, with a focus on the natural environment and how it relates to concepts of justice, leadership, and community. Fellows will get greater understanding of community dynamics to customize solutions that are appropriate for multi-cultural settings. They will get to enhance their communication abilities to become persuasive, empathetic speakers who can effectively influence public opinion, listen well and shape public debate, and influence decision-makers.
The participants will become members of the FFOP Fellowship Alumni Association upon program completion, giving them access to a variety of opportunities to participate in climate campaigns and regional events organized by FFOP. By bringing people together from different backgrounds, cultures, and religions, FFOP global youth conference aims to promote mutual respect and understanding while enhancing their knowledge and abilities to emphasize the contribution of faith to the development of significant climate action.
