Wood Hole Summer Student Fellowship 2024 in the USA is an excellent opportunity for students to work on a project that will provide meaningful results in future endeavors. The research project would move around the topics related to ocean sciences and engineering. The Science Department of WHOI and the Woods Hole Coastal and Marine Science Center of the U.S. Geographical Survey will support you throughout your research in the USA under this international fellowship program. People, belonging to the groups, that are underrepresented in ocean sciences and engineering are preferred to apply for this fully-funded internship.

This fully-funded fellowship will provide the participants with an opportunity to join seminars and an ocean sampling cruise onboarding, focused on data collection and sampling techniques associated with the advanced oceanographic instruments and technology. Moreover, being a fellow of WHOI, you will have the opportunity to interact with graduate students for near-peer mentoring and learning ethics in a science workshop. The hands-on experience of abroad fellowship will lay the foundation for your scientific career by providing you with invaluable insights into the wider spectrum of WHOI projects and activities from fundamental oceanographic principles to destructive algal blooms.
