Duration of the MIS Malaysia Government Scholarship 2026-2027:
- The duration of the MIS Master’s scholarship is 24 months (2 years).
- The duration of the MIS Doctoral (PhD) scholarship is 36 months (3 years)

Eligibility Criteria of the Malaysian International Scholarship 2026-2027:
- Currently enrolled in full-time postgraduate studies at Malaysian public universities or selected private institutions, with at least two semesters remaining before completion.
- Applicants must be citizens of MIS recipient countries.
- Age should not exceed 40 years for Master’s applicants and 45 years for PhD applicants at the time of application.
- Master’s applicants should possess a CGPA of 3.0 or a Second Class Upper (Honours) degree or higher.
- PhD applicants should possess a CGPA of 3.0 or excellent academic results at the Master’s level in a relevant field.
- English language proficiency is required:
- IELTS: 6.0 or higher, or
- TOEFL (paper-based): 550 or higher, or
- Previous degree obtained with English as the medium of instruction (official letter required).
- Research proposal with a minimum of 1,000 words is required for Master’s by Research and PhD applicants.
