USTC research internship program 2026 in China is being offered to international students to participate in research related projects. International internship opportunity for bachelor’s and master’s students ranging from 3 months to 1 year is offering plenty of benefits. Applicants will have the choice to select and contact a supervisor at USTC in their relevant research field. The names of research subjects are named as First-level disciplines and further specialised fields in them are named as Second-level disciplines. After the fully funded internship, they will also have an advantage while applying for Master’s, PhD and Post-doctoral programs at USTC by building good relationships with professors and university students.
During USTC internship, students will get a chance to improve their research abilities in advanced and modern labs under the supervision of expert scholars. This global internship experience will be helpful for them in their further research studies. Interns will get to participate in different campus events and go on field trips as well. They will have access to free Chinese language and culture class where they will get a chance to learn basic Chinese language.

3) USTC Fellowship – Level C / Self-Funded Option
- Covers tuition only; living expenses are the responsibility of the student.
Eligibility Criteria for USTC Research Internship Program in China 2026:
- Applicants must be non-Chinese citizens with a foreign passport.
- Open to graduate students or 3rd/4th-year undergraduate students.
- Applicants should be between 18 and 40 years of age.
- Applicants must be in good physical and mental health.

- First get a pre-acceptance letter from USTC professors in related research field before submitting your application.

- Click online application form and register yourself.
- Select Non-degree program- Research Internship.
- Fill in the required information and complete the application form.
- Upload all the documents.
- Review and submit the application.
- Accommodation will be provided on first come, first served basis. So apply as early as possible.

- If you want to apply for the USTC Fellowship Level A, you can apply from January to March for the fall semester, or from July to September for the spring semester.
