KAIST Visual AI internship in South Korea is offered to international students who are interested in developing machine learning tools for visual data. Advanced technologies for processing, interpreting, and generalizing a variety of visual data are being researched at the KAIST Visual AI Group. Interns will have the opportunity to get hands-on experience in research by participating in various activities. Students will get coding assignments which will cover recent research topics.

The research areas of this paid internship in Korea will include Diffusion models / Flow-based generative models, Generative models for diverse data types, 3D generation, editing, and deformation, Foundation models (LLMs / VLMs), Video generative models, Neural rendering, Neural operators / AI for scientific applications. Interns will be given a small-scale research project based on an idea provided by the University or the interns can also give their own ideas for the project.

KAIST internship for undergraduate students will include weekly meetings where interns will have detailed discussions on technical papers which will be curated by two students.   • Should have prior experience in developing any deep learning techniques.
  • Will be given preference who have taken the courses Diffusion Models and Their Applications or Machine Learning for 3D Data.
  • Should be physically present in the lab during the internship period.
  • Will be preferred who can extend their internship for the next semester. (They might have the option to do remote work).
  • Should commit to complete the internship for at least 8 weeks.
  • Will only be paid if they are enrolled in a University inside Korea.
