UCAS International Summer School 2024 in China is a fully funded summer school for students from all across the globe. The University of Chinese Academy of Sciences (UCAS) is a postgraduate research-focused university with a strong degree of integration with China’s associated scientific research organizations. The agenda of this UCAS summer school will involve a discussion of environmental issues that humanity is now experiencing with global change, as well as an understanding of global change observation methodologies.
With its profound effects on both human society and the planet’s natural balance, climate change is one of the most important issues faced by the modern world. This ten-day (2024 July 18–27) “Global Change and Ecological Health” fully funded summer program in China (Beijing) is being organized by UCAS to foster exchanges between Chinese and foreign young scholars to collaboratively address the effects of global change on ecosystems and actively protect our living environments.
UCAS will invite Chinese and foreign experts and scholars in global change and ecological health to gather at the beautiful scenic spots at the foot of the Great Wall and the shore of Yanqi Lake to exchange academic ideas in the SDC Building. Once the UCAS summer exchange program is completed, students will get a graduation certificate from UCAS. A recommendation letter from an academic adviser for a UCAS foreign student scholarship will also be provided to exceptional participants.
After UCAS International Summer School 2024, the institution will recruit 30-45 foreign students interested in ecology and the environment who have professional expertise in related fields from globally renowned universities, including geography, biology, chemistry, ecology, and other disciplines. During this summer scholarship, in addition to having the chance to hear about successful cases involving the protection of the ecological environment and speak with academicians directly, participants will also get to see Huairou Science City, take part in scientific research, explore Beijing’s humanistic environment, and experience traditional Chinese culture. - Have goodwill for China.
- Follow the rules and regulations of China.
- Be both physically and mentally healthy.
- Be in their senior year of university.
- Not be older than 35 years of age.
- Have background knowledge in environmental science, ecology, geography, resources, biology, chemistry, and other relevant fields.
- Be fluent in the English language.
