The UNESCO World Heritage Young Professionals Forum 2026 will take place in the Republic of Korea from 13 to 21 July 2026. This 9-day international Forum is organized under the theme “World Heritage, Communities and Education: Empowering Youth as Agents of Change.” It aims to strengthen the skills of young professionals. It also encourages their active role in protecting and managing natural and cultural World Heritage sites.The youth Forum in Korea highlights community participation and youth involvement. There is no application fee, and no IELTS requirement is mentioned.
Along with discussing and learning in-depth information about sustainable management, community participation, and education in relation to World Heritage, participants will also have the chance to become acquainted with World Heritage properties in the Republic of Korea and their management. The 48th session of the World Heritage Committee will hear the young professionals’ presentation of their Declaration at the end of this international Forum.
During this UNESCO Youth Forum 2026, there will be a range of presentations, discussions, collaborative working sessions, and site-based learning activities led by local and international experts. The young professionals will jointly explore how communities, youth, and education can contribute to informed decision-making, inclusive governance, and sustainable management of World Heritage.

- Show active involvement in activities related to World Heritage.
- Be available to participate for the full duration of the Forum.
- Have good proficiency in English, as the Forum will be conducted entirely in English.
