Tsinghua University scholarship, Tsinghua University internship

Tsinghua University Amgen Scholars Program 2026 aims to expand research opportunities for undergraduate students who are passionate about pursuing careers in the sciences. It is an 8-week residential summer research internship in China led by experienced faculty members. The program provides selected scholars with the chance to work in a real laboratory environment, gain experience in cutting-edge research, and learn about drug discovery and biotechnology. Scholars will work in a faculty-led lab on one or more specialized research projects.

During this summer research program, each scholar will be assigned a faculty mentor. In the lab, scholars will also receive training and support from graduate students, postdoctoral researchers, or lab technicians. As active members of the laboratory, they will be able to participate in academic activities such as weekly lab meetings, group discussions, presentation training sessions, and campus-wide lectures.

Each Amgen Scholar in Asia will also participate in a regional symposium, where they will learn directly from leading scientists in academia and industry. Scholars will have opportunities to network with other Amgen Scholars from across the world. In addition to research work, the program includes extracurricular activities such as networking events and exploration of Beijing and Chinese culture.

The 2026 program will begin on June 4, 2026 and will end on August 6, 2026 (provisional). The application period for the 2026 intake will open on November 1, 2025 and the deadline to apply is March 15, 2026. Selected applicants will be notified between March and April 2026.
