Applications Process for Slocakia Scholarships:

Step 1: Create Your Account

Start by visiting the official scholarship portal and creating your account. After registering, sign in to access the online application system.

The first section you need to complete is “My Profile.” Enter your personal information carefully, making sure it matches the details on your passport or national ID.

You will be asked to provide information such as:

  • Full name
  • Passport or ID number
  • Date and place of birth
  • Gender
  • Permanent and temporary address
  • Citizenship
  • Phone number
  • Email address

Before moving to the next step, you will also need to confirm the personal data (GDPR) declaration.

Step 2: Choose Your Study Programme and Add Your Test Results

After completing your profile, open the “Applications” section to begin your scholarship application.

First, choose the study level you want to apply for.

If You Are Applying for a Bachelor’s Degree

You need to:

  • Select your preferred Slovak university.
  • Choose your faculty.
  • Select your study programme.

You can apply to only one university through this scholarship application.

If You Are Applying for a Master’s Degree

Master’s applicants will first answer a question about their previous Bachelor’s studies. Depending on their situation, some applicants may also need to enter their Central Register of Students (CRŠ) ID number before selecting their university, faculty, and study programme.

Keep in mind that the scholarship can only be awarded if you enroll in a study programme included in Slovakia’s SK RIS3 2021+ Smart Specialisation list.

Enter Your SAT or SCIO Test Result

Your scholarship application will be evaluated using one of the following standardized tests:

  • SAT with a minimum total score of 1100, or
  • SCIO with a minimum average percentile of 63 in the Mathematics (MAT) and General Study Prerequisites (VŠP) tests.

If you took the SAT, enter:

  • Test date
  • Total score
  • Evidence-Based Reading and Writing score
  • Mathematics score

Then upload your official SAT certificate.

If you completed the SCIO tests, enter your percentile scores for both required tests and upload both certificates. The application system will calculate your average percentile automatically.

Important: Your SAT or SCIO certificate must be uploaded before the application deadline. It cannot be added after you submit your application.

Step 3: Upload Your Required Documents

The next step is to upload all the documents requested in the application system.

Verify Your Citizenship

Upload a notarized copy of your passport or national ID.

  • Applicants from the EU, EEA, and Switzerland may upload a national ID card.
  • Applicants from all other countries must upload a passport.

A regular photo or scanned copy of the original document is not accepted.

Complete the Solemn Declarations

After submitting your application:

  • You will receive a confirmation email.
  • You can log in to track the status of your application.
  • You will not be able to edit your application or upload additional documents after submission.

What Happens After You Apply?

After the application deadline, the Ministry reviews all applications and verifies the submitted documents. Eligible applicants are ranked based on their SAT or SCIO results, and scholarships are awarded according to the final ranking and the number of available scholarships.

The results are published on the official application portal and shared with successful applicants by email. To receive the scholarship, selected applicants must enroll in an eligible SK RIS3 2021+ study programme at their chosen Slovak university. After enrollment, the university starts the scholarship payment process.
