SDG 6 Fellowship in Europe | Fully Funded Fellowship

Youth Action for SDG 6 Fellowship is a fully funded fellowship program in Europe organized by IWA & Grundfos. The international community has acknowledged this fellowship as one of the most significant youth involvement programs in the water sector. In the framework of a world that is changing rapidly, the 2025–2026 Fellowship aims to address evolving needs and goals of the water sector.

The 2025–2026 Fellowship in Europe will include a series of exclusive online and in-person events. The aim is to collaboratively create a publication that focusses on locally driven solutions. This will help the water sector become more solid and flexible. The Youth Fellows will develop their critical thinking skills, improve their interpersonal skills and gain practical teamwork experience. They will have access to networking and professional development opportunities as well.

During this international fellowship, candidates will participate in in-person events hosted in London, and Denmark. The SDGs fellowship program might include visits to partner organizations as well. There will be various workshops and capacity-building activities. They will also attend 2026 IWA World Water Congress & Exhibition in Glasgow, Scotland. The host organization will cover the publication costs including design, proofreading, printing, and launching of the projects.

Eligibility Criteria for SDG 6 Fellowship 2025 in Europe:

Applicants should:

  • Show proof of dedication to deliver a positive change in the water sector.
  • Have leadership skills.
  • Mention important local or global issues in their current activities.
  • Have experience of creating innovative ideas in the water sector.
  • Have knowledge of English.
  • Not be a former IWA & Grundfos Youth Action Fellow.
  • Be between 18-35 years of age.
  • Should apply in English only.

  • A Motivation letter including relevant professional experience and work done related to SDG, your career goals, skills or knowledge you expect to gain, any project done to improve water management or SDG 6 goals and a creative solution you’ve proposed in the water sector.
  • Letter of reference.
  • Project proposal.
  • All documents should be compiled and saved in a single pdf file named as “FIRSTNAME_LASTNAME_COUNTRY OF ORIGIN.”
