Eligibility Criteria for Rhodes Global Scholarships 2026 in UK:

  • You can apply for the Global Scholarship if you’re not eligible for any other Rhodes constituency.
  • If you have ties to other Rhodes areas but can’t apply there, you might be able to apply through special inter-jurisdictional options.
  • You must be one of these:
    • Aged 18–24 on 1 October 2025 (born between 2 October 2000 and 1 October 2007).
    • Aged 18–25 on 1 October 2025 if you’re a medical student with a compulsory internship (born between 2 October 1999 and 1 October 2007).
    • Under 27 on 1 October 2025 if you finished your first degree later than usual (born after 1 October 1998) and finished your first undergraduate degree on or after 1 October 2024.
  • You need to have completed or expect to complete your undergraduate degree by July 2026.
  • You need to meet the entry requirements of your chosen full-time course at Oxford.
  • It’s best if you have a First Class Honours Degree or a GPA of 3.70/4.0 or higher.
  • You must meet Oxford’s higher-level English language requirements by the application deadline (31 July 2025).
  • If your undergraduate degree was taught in English, you might not need an English test.
  • You need to be nominated by your university (a senior official like the President, Dean, or Rector). You can’t nominate yourself.
  • You must request an eligibility check from the Rhodes team through the application form before applying. The last date to request this check is 29 July 2025.
  • All applications, references, and nominations must be submitted by 23:59 GMT on 31 July 2025.

How to apply for Rhodes Scholarship 2026:

  • First, choose your constituency from the official Rhodes website. If your country isn’t listed, you can still apply for the Global Scholarship if you meet the eligibility criteria.
  • Apply for the Rhodes Scholarship first. If selected, you’ll then apply for your chosen course at Oxford.
  • Provide your contact info and proof that you meet the eligibility criteria.
  • Upload your university transcripts and choose the courses you want to study at Oxford.
  • Fill out the CV template in the application form and upload all the required documents.
  • Your application will be reviewed by Rhodes staff. After they approve it, you can submit the final version.
  • There’s no fee to apply, but everything must be done online and submitted on time.
  • You can only apply one more time if you don’t get it on your first try.
  • Withdrawals after the deadline need a serious reason and must be approved.
  • Everything in your application must be true. The Rhodes team might check your details and ask for proof.
