Wonju Literature Residency Program 2026 in South Korea (Fully Funded)

Wonju UNESCO City of Literature Residency 2026 is now accepting applications from writers for an 8-week residency program. This fully funded program will take place from 1 September–31 October 2026 at the Toji Cultural Centre, South Korea. This international literary program is exclusively for writers who are connected to a City of Literature. During the residency program, the selected applicant will get a chance to work on their creative projects in a peaceful environment.

Korean writers and artists will also be staying at the Cultural Centre during the same period. Residents will interact, build friendships, and learn from each other’s creative experiences. This short-term residency program will provide a serene and peaceful environment where residents will have a memorable time. The organizers of the UNESCO City of Literature residency program will cover all program-related expenses. These include round-trip airfare, ground transportation, accommodation with workspace, and organic meals.

How to apply for Wonju UNESCO City of Literature Residency:

To submit your application, you have to write about yourself, your literary works, awards, achievements, your literary world, your reason for coming to Wonju, your creative plan to fulfill during the residency, and how you will include the Wonju experience in your new creative works.

The word limit is 1000–2000 words.

The text font size should be 12 pt.
