World Forum for Democracy 2027 in France (Fully Funded)

The World Forum for Democracy 2026 is a global platform that brings together political decision-makers, activists, and people from different backgrounds to discuss the future of democracy. The 2026 edition is held under the theme “Rupture or Renewal? Democratic Security for Our Future” within the framework of the New Democratic Pact for Europe. The forum focuses on how societies can prepare for future challenges and build stronger, more participatory, and inclusive democracies. It welcomes diverse perspectives and encourages innovative ideas that strengthen democratic participation. It is a great opportunity for individuals and organizations to share their work, learn from others, and be part of meaningful global discussions.

Selected participants will have the opportunity to contribute their ideas and initiatives through training sessions, discussions, the World Forum for Democracy, and the Youth Day. As active members of the youth delegation, they can help shape conversations on democracy and youth participation. Participants should be able to work and communicate in English and be motivated to contribute to innovative ideas on democracy and youth participation.

• Applicants must be 18 to 30 years old.
• You should represent a youth organization or youth movement working on democracy, youth participation, or innovative democratic practices.
• You should be interested in contributing to discussions on democracy and the future of democratic societies.
• You must be available for the entire program, including the online preparations and all activities in Strasbourg.
• You should be willing to share the outcomes of the forum within your organization or community after the program.
• You should be able to work and communicate in English.
• Previous involvement with the Council of Europe Youth Sector is an advantage but not required.
