Call for applications for the UNEP Young Champions of the Earth 2026. Offered by the United Nations Environment Program, winners of the competition will get a chance to attend an award ceremony in the USA. Young champions will get seed funding of US$10,000 to grow their business. Moreover, they will get mentorship from environmental experts and attend various workshops. Along with the awards ceremony, participants will also attend other official events, providing them the opportunity to expand their network.
UNEP international award recognises talented changemakers from across the world who are contributing to the protection and restoration of our planet. By winning the UNEP competition 2026, young individuals will get international media coverage and gain publicity. On top of this, Young Champions of the Earth will compete in a pitch competition for Planet A to receive a grant of up to US$100,000. To share their journey on the official website for a year, young individuals will get a smartphone multimedia production kit. They will receive training and mentorship for effective communication.

Eligibility Criteria for UNEP Young Champions of the Earth 2026:
- Applicants must be between 18-30 years old.
- Applicants must have minimum six months of experience working on their environmental project.
- Individuals who applied previously can apply again.
- The competition allows only one entry per person per year.
- Applicants should not be employees or immediate family members of lead and support organizations (UNEP, Planet A and CoalitionWild).
