The United Nations Young Professionals Program (YYP) is a great opportunity for international students with 2 stages. In stage 1, candidates will have to pass the exam and in stage 2, there will be a video-based interview for participants who will clear the exam. Selected candidates are placed on the roster so that they can be recruited for an entry-level job according to their relevant field. At the beginning of their professional career with the UN, candidates chosen from the roster will be presented with an offer of a two-year fixed-term contract. If they continue to perform well after two years, they can be given a continuous contract.
The UN career opportunity examination will include subject areas of Political Affairs, Human Rights, Humanitarian Affairs, Human Resources, Administration, Management & Analysis, and Finance & Budget. Job vacancies will be available at different UN Secretariat offices including Addis Ababa, Bangkok, Beirut, Geneva, Nairobi, New York, Santiago, Vienna or other countries. Those who are selected for the job must be open to working at any UN field office or duty station.
During the United Nations job, Junior professionals who have worked in their initial role for at least two years will get an invitation to participate in a Managed Reassignment Program (MRP). They can be moved to another position in a new department or duty station, by choosing alternative roles that they are interested in. MRP’s goal is to give employees a chance to grow and diversify in their careers, learn new skills, and build a strong basis for future career advancement. This is a great opportunity to start your professional work journey in an international organization. Apply now before the deadline approaches.
