Call for Applications for the third edition of UfM Med Youth Lab 2026 in Italy. The fully funded program is open to university students and recent graduates from different countries. UfM youth program is a skills building initiative jointly organised by The Union for the Mediterranean and the German Development Cooperation. The youth program will cover travel, accommodation and other related expenses for the in person segment in Italy. Participants will also receive support for visa documentation.
This year’s edition will focus on Entrepreneurial Skills and will bring together young students with no knowledge and exposure in entrepreneurship. Offered in a hybrid format, the program includes both online training and in-person workshops in Palermo, Italy. Selected participants will have access to online training materials and sessions. During the training, participants will attend expert led sessions and will learn how to work in teams. They will develop entrepreneurial and problem solving skills as well.
Participants will get support from UfM forum in designing a beginner level awareness session on entrepreneurship. They will later share it with peers in their communities in 2027. Eligibility Criteria for UfM Med Youth Lab 2026 in Italy:
- Applicants must be between 18 and 29 years old while applying.
- Applicants should be a national and resident of a UfM Member State.
- Candidates should be currently enrolled in a university program or have graduated within 1 year.
- They must hold a valid passport.
- Applicants should have minimum B2 level of English, or an equivalent ability.
- Students should have no prior knowledge pr experience in entrepreneurship.
- Participants must be available for both online training and the in-person workshops.
- Applicants should be beginners.
- Participants who have already attended the program can apply again if they meet all the eligibility requirements for this edition.
Eligible Countries for Full Sponsorship
- Full sponsorship for the in-person program in Palermo is available to nationals of the following countries:
- Albania, Algeria, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Egypt, Jordan, Lebanon, Libya, Mauritania, Montenegro, Morocco, North Macedonia, Palestine, Syria, Tunisia, and Türkiye.
- The sponsorship covers costs related to travel, visa, and accommodation, according to UfM procedures and the available budget.
- Important: Applicants from other UfM Member States are also eligible to apply. However, they must arrange their own funding to attend the in-person program in Palermo, Italy.
