Call for applications for the NewNow One Young World Leaders Program 2026. Offered by One Young World and supported by Virgin Unite, the fully funded leadership program will take place from 3–6 November 2026 in Cape Town, South Africa. To remove the financial barriers that may come in the way of creating an impact, selected leaders will get a scholarship place at the One Young World Summit (OYW) 2026. The international youth summit will cover travel, hotel accommodation, and catering costs of the selected participants. The OYW international young leaders program has no application or registration fee. Moreover, the delegates will get permanent membership of the One Young World Ambassador Community. On top of this, participants’ profiles will be featured on One Young World and Virgin Unite channels, providing them with global recognition for their contributions.
Along with getting membership of The NewNow Community, participants will also get a chance to attend capacity building workshops which will enhance their skills and confidence as leaders. Additionally, the youth leadership program will provide an opportunity to work collaboratively with their fellow participants on joint projects. Furthermore, the delegates will also have access to the One Young World Global Leadership Program and Action Accelerator.
With an aim to build a fair and sustainable future for coming generations, the NewNow global leadership program invites 10 emerging leaders with outstanding track records of bringing practical and lasting impact. The program intends to achieve its goals through shared learning and guidance from senior professional leaders. Eligibility Criteria for NewNow One Young World Leaders Program 2026:
- Applicants must be 18 to 30 years old.
- Candidates should be nationals of countries in the Global South.
- Applicants should have exhibited impactful leadership through practical initiatives.
- Applicants must show strong understanding of critical local or global issues.
- Applicants should have a proven track-record of implementing systems-thinking principles.
- Candidates should be willing to work collaboratively with The NewNow fellow leaders.
