The Kennan Institute Digital Fellowship 2026-2027 is a six month unique and flexible opportunity. The fully funded fellowship is open to outstanding journalists, academic researchers, scholars, and community experts. The Digital Fellowship aims to revive the intellectual exchange between the former Soviet Union and the West. As the program is in digital format, its reach will be extended around the world.
Scheduled to run from October 2026 to March 2027, the fellowship will select ten participants. Selected fellows will receive support to communicate their ideas to public and the policy community. They will also receive a monthly stipend. After completing the fellowship, participants will join the Kennan’s alumni network.
For the remote fellowship, fellows will meet virtually once a month. As part of this fellowship, they will develop and publish a writing piece with the guidance of Kennan Institute staff. Through this research fellowship, researchers will share their findings with each other and develop professional connections.
