KAIST KSCC Summer Internship Program 2025 in South Korea is offering research opportunity for students who have an interest in stem cell, tissue, and regenerative biology. During this fully funded internship in Korea of 7 weeks, students will conduct research in state-of-the-art laboratories and will also get a chance to experience life at KAIST. The host institution will cover the cost of air travel and accommodation. Interns will also get a stipend of 0.5 million KRW during this research internship program.
KAIST internship program for undergraduate students is offered in different departments which include Biological Sciences, Physics, Bio and Brain Engineering, Chemical and Biomolecular Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Brain and Cognitive Sciences, and Medical Science and Engineering. While applying for this international internship program, students can select up to 3 laboratories according to their interest and educational background out of 24 affiliated research laboratories. Each laboratory has a designated professor who will supervise the interns.
This summer research internship for international students will add up to the existing knowledge of students. They will gain hands on experience while performing practical research related to stem cell, tissue, and regenerative biology. Eligibility Criteria for KAIST KSCC Summer Internship 2025 in South Korea:
- Applicants should be 3rd or 4th year undergraduate students at foreign institutions.
- Applicants should have completed at least 2 years of coursework.
- Applicants should be interested in stem cell, tissue, and regenerative biology.
- Students who are currently enrolled in a doctoral degree program are not eligible to apply.
- Students who are currently enrolled in a school within Korea cannot apply.
- Selected interns are required to submit a lung X-ray test result negative for tuberculosis.

- Applicants then have to send the required documents by April 10th to: cho@kaist.ac.kr
- Applicants are required to sign an agreement on personal information collection and usage.
- Applicants have to write an essay of up to 1,000 words explaining their motivation for applying, past activities, and academic interests.
- Applicants have to choose 3 labs from list of KSCC/SCRB affiliated labs.
