Internet Society Peering Fellowship 2025 is an engaging six-month program designed to equip 15 professionals with knowledge, skills and tools to discuss and solve interconnection and peering challenges. This fully funded program intends to maximize opportunities that expand the Internet and create communities at peering events. Through this international fellowship, the Internet Society is facilitating affordable and reliable internet access efforts. The fellowship program will organize in-person events where regional peering stakeholders will gather to address challenges, connect with each other, and celebrate their achievements. Each fellow will have to attend one assigned regionally relevant event during the fellowship.
As the challenges in today’s world are interconnected, a thorough understanding of peering dynamics and traffic management is required to determine the complexities of the Internet. To make access to internet affordable, reliable, and strong, The Peering Fellowship provides assistance and support to individuals by enhancing local Internet interconnection infrastructure and by promoting an empowering policy environment that encourages a prosperous Internet ecosystem.
This fully funded fellowship will provide an opportunity to become a part of expert Internet leaders who are passionate about secure, stable, open, and globally connected Internet. Fellows will get a chance to learn more about the subject through training sessions delivered by experienced peering professionals. This fellowship program in Nigeria or Philippines will provide networking opportunities where fellows will learn from each other’s experiences. Fellows will also attend virtual meetings after the in-person event.
