Call for applications for the ICANN Fellowship Program 2026. The fully funded ICANN86 Policy Forum fellowship is scheduled to take place from 8-11 June, 2026, in Seville, Spain. ICANN will cover the cost of travelling and accommodation of selected participants. Moreover, fellows will get a stipend of $500 to cover the expense of meals, transport to and from the airport, and incidentals. During the short term fellowship program 2026, participants will be working under the guidance of a mentor. They will be given training on diverse knowledge areas and skill development before, during, and after the ICANN Public Meeting. Eligibility Criteria for ICANN Fellowship Program in Spain 2026:
- Applicants from all regions and disciplines can apply.
- Candidates must be at least 21 years old.
- Applicants should already be working on, or have an interest in ICANN’s work in policy building, the operation of the Domain Name System and the security and stability of the global Internet.
- Participants must complete mandatory ICANN Learn course.
- When selected, candidates should not be involved or associated with other ICANN supported travel programs.
- Policy Forum applicants must complete an ICANN Fellowship.
- Candidates should have already received no more than 2 fellowships.
- Fellows are expected to participate in Fellowship Program Mentoring, and complete additional mandatory ICANN Learn courses.
- Only the ICANN Fellowship Program Alumni are eligible for applying in ICANN86 Policy Forum fellowship.
- Participants have to attend the ICANN Public Meeting and other activities (ICANN Fellowship sessions) during the ICANN Meeting.
- Selected fellows must interact with program alumni and community members.
- Participants are required to complete the post-meeting survey.
- After completing the Fellowship Program, participants are expected to contribute to ICANN policy development processes and Fellowship alumni network.
