Stephen Young Global Leaders’ Scholarship Program (SYGL) 2026 will award full scholarships to outstanding students undertaking a full-time MBA or MSc at University of Strathclyde in Glasgow. This scholarship program is all about building strong leadership skills. It’s designed to help scholars become leaders who make a positive impact and support responsible and sustainable business growth. Students will get coaching and mentoring support from at least one business leader, CEO, or senior executive of a large organization relevant to their industry background and future career aspirations.
In this scholarship program in the UK, students will get a chance to benefit from various leadership development opportunities through the Stephen Young Institute for International Business (SYIIB) and become part of the wider SYIIB community. This international scholarship program will support students’ development as future global leaders. The SYGL scholarship programme in Europe will help participants acquire critical competencies that are important in today’s competitive and rapidly changing global environment.
During this full scholarship program for international students, scholars may apply for one of three opportunities offered in addition to their MBA or MSc studies. The first is attending an international MBA elective class at Strathclyde’s international MBA centres in Europe, the Middle East, or the Far East, including flights and accommodation (MBA only). The second is attending an international summer school placement at another university, including flights and accommodation. The third is taking part in a special research project outlined by the Stephen Young Institute for International Business.

- Applicants must meet the admissions criteria for the Strathclyde full-time MBA program.
- Applicants must receive an admission offer to study MBA program in the university before applying for the scholarship.
- Applicants have to apply separately to the Stephen Young Global Leaders’ Scholarship Program.
- Applicants should demonstrate excellent academic record in their scholarship application.
- Applicants must be self-funded students who do not have access to other funding sources.
- Short-listed candidates will have an interview (in-person or online).
