CNIO Summer Training Program 2025 in Spain is offered to students from all over the world who are interested in pursuing their research career. The mission of CNIO is to develop innovative and effective ways to prevent, diagnose and treat cancer. CNIO summer student program provides equal access to all candidates without discriminating on the basis of gender, family status, economic situation, social status, disability, race, nationality, language, and political or ideological perspective.
CNIO training program for undergraduate students will be of 8 weeks which will include 300 working hours. Due to the intensive nature of work, students have to participate in all the activities of the program actively and with full-time commitment. During this international summer internship program, each student will work under the supervision of a group leader. They will have to attend weekly seminars where faculty members and researchers from the CNIO will deliver sessions. After completing this summer research internship in Europe, students will have to present the results and findings of their research projects in a session that will be organised at the end.
The scientific research areas offered during this summer program for international students will include Molecular Oncology, Structural Biology, Human Cancer Genetics, Clinical Research, Biotechnology, Experimental Therapeutics, and Biobank. The process will begin with a basic research about what is cancer and what does it do. It will use patient oriented approach to address these questions and then transform the information received into innovative real world solutions like diagnostic kits, pharmaceuticals or other alternative therapies. Students will get a certificate of completion at the end of the program.

Eligibility Criteria for CNIO Summer Training Program 2025 in Spain:
- Applicants must be undergraduate students in their final years.
- Applicants should be enrolled in Biomedicine related or Life Sciences degrees.
- Students should have an excellent academic record with a GPA above 0.75.
- Applicants must be proficient in English language.
- Applicants must be available for 8 weeks to attend the complete training program.
