Azerbaijan Government Scholarship 2024-25

Azerbaijan Government Scholarship is a fully funded scholarship opportunity for potential international students to study at one of Azerbaijan’s top institutions. For the 2024–2025 academic year, the Republic of Azerbaijan’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Ministry of Science and Education has launched the “Heydar Aliyev, an International Education Grant Program.” For five years, the Government of Azerbaijan will provide a higher education scholarship every year. The event pays tribute to Heydar Aliyev, the National Leader of Azerbaijan.

Benefits of the Azerbaijan Government Scholarship Program 2024-2025:

There will be no tuition fee.
Language preparatory courses will be free.
Roundway airfare will be covered by the host organization.

A monthly allowance of 800 AZN for accommodation, daily expenses, and educational materials will be given for all the months each year, except July and August.
A medical allowance of 200 AZN per year will be given.
A single-entry visa to Azerbaijan will be included.

Eligibility Criteria for Azerbaijan Government Scholarship Program 2024-2025:

Citizens of Azerbaijan cannot apply.

Citizens whose citizenship in Azerbaijan has been canceled cannot apply.
For Undergraduate and general medicine programs, candidates over 35 years.
For Graduate medical residency programs, candidates over 40 years.

For Doctoral programs, candidates over 45 years.
A candidate who has more than one nationality can submit only one application.
Only nominated applications by the respective country’ Government authorities will be considered.

Candidates must be in good health.

How to apply for the Azerbaijan Scholarship Program 2024-2025?

In the first phase of the application process, applicants have to submit the required documents to the relevant State of Government authority for official nomination.
In the second phase, officially nominated candidates by the Government authority will have to apply through the website postal “Study in Azerbaijan Centralized Admission Service (SIACAS) website (portal.edu.az)” from June 16 to July 1, 2024.

After logging into the portal, select the “Heydar Aliyev” Grant program and apply there.
You can choose up to two degree programs at different universities.

Documents Required for the 2024 Azerbaijan Scholarships:

Filled nomination form.
Copy of transcripts (GPA should not be less than 70%).
Copy of medical fitness certificate.

Copy of valid passport.
Copy of Updated CV.
English Proficiency test score. For undergraduate programs minimum of IELTS 5 (TOEFL 40); For postgraduate programs minimum of IELTS 5.5 (TOEFL 50)

A Letter of motivation.
Any local or international awards won by the applicant.
All the submitted documents should be in Azerbaijani, Turkish, English, or Russian language.

All documentation should be submitted in PDF Format.
The application and all the documents have to be uploaded to the SICAS website before the deadline.
