ASEF is offering an exceptional Training and Youth Summit in Indonesia for young delegates. The fully funded youth program will include both online and in-person training sessions, making it a blended learning program. The exciting part is that there is no registration or participation fee for both the online and physical programs. The organizers will provide accommodation and meals during the Youth Summit in Jakarta, Indonesia. Travel subsidies including airfare, visa fees, and transportation will also be provided/reimbursed according to ASEF guidelines. This is an incredible learning opportunity that you shouldn’t miss.

ASEF Training on Science and Technology Diplomacy will begin with onboarding and networking sessions in July and August 2026, followed by a 6 week-long online training from 1 September to 8 October 2026. Participants can attend these online sessions while staying in their home countries. During the online training program, participants will attend webinars and interactive workshops conducted by field experts. They will get a chance to interact and discuss with their peers. The sessions will also enhance the practical skills of youth and promote cross-regional cooperation.

Selected participants from the online training will be invited to attend the in-person Asia-Europe Youth Summit in Jakarta, Indonesia, which will take place from 19–23 October 2026. During the international Youth Summit, young leaders will discuss and present their perspectives on Asia-Europe Cooperation in Science and Technology Diplomacy. It will provide an opportunity to expand their professional network across Europe and Asia. The international youth training program 2026 will provide an engaging learning experience to young professionals working in the fields of science, technology, innovation, and international relations.

  • Applicants should currently be working as a Research or Science Manager in the areas of international science and technology, or as Diplomats/Government Officials working in international cooperation and science and technology diplomacy-related fields.
  • Applicants must be working in one of the eligible Asian or European countries.
  • Undergraduate students and PhD students/candidates are not eligible to apply.
