The Alpbach Scholarship Programme 2020 is now open for application. The Scholarships in Austria are available for to people up to 30 years of age. People from all countries and academic disciplines can apply for Alpbach Austria Scholarship. 

The European Forum Alpbach is an interdisciplinary platform for science, politics, business, and culture. Established in 1945, the annual European Forum Alpbach, as well as its events throughout the year, address the relevant socio-political questions of our time.

Every year, 700 students from about 90 nationalities participate as scholarship holders in the European Forum Alpbach. Join smart minds from around the world in a charming Alpine village, immersing yourself in an environment bursting with novel ideas, new ways of thinking and opportunities for making great contacts.

Alpbach connects international decision-makers from all sectors of society with an interested audience and committed young people. Its goal is to create a dialogue across the generational, ideological and other lines that divide us. Nowhere else can you go on a sunrise hike with Nobel laureates in the morning and discuss your ideas with fellow scholarship holders from almost 100 nations in the afternoon.

European Forum Alpbach Conference

  • The European Forum Alpbach is an interdisciplinary Platform for Science, Politics, Business, and Culture to develop New Perspectives for tomorrow’s Europe.
  • Participants from Science, Politics, Economics, Culture and Civil Society Join Forces to address current challenges of our society.
  • Young People under the age of 30 from around the world (or under 35 for African scholarship holders) can attend this leading Youth Leadership conference and a variety of academic and artistic seminars.
  • Established in 1945, the annual European Forum Alpbach, as well as its events
    throughout the year, address the relevant socio-political questions of our time.
  • The European Alpbach forum is a Great way of new ways of thinking and opportunities for making great contacts & Connections with fellows from around the world.
  • Our scholarship program enables young people from across the world to come to Alpbach and to participate in the Forum.

Scholarship Types:

This depends on the type of scholarship you were granted:

  • basic scholarship covers the participation fee for the whole duration of the event only.
  • Partial scholarship covers the participation fee and accommodation costs
  • full scholarship includes the EFAF covers participation fees, accommodation & board

  • The scholarships are available to people up to 30 years of age.
  • Applicants from all countries and academic disciplines are eligible to apply
  • They encourage artists, young professionals and non-graduates to apply. 

How to Apply for Alpbach Scholarship Programme 2020?

Please fill in all the required data in the online application form. Incomplete applications will not be accepted. Late submission of missing documents will not be considered. Only applications via the online application form are accepted. Applications via email will not be considered.
