Imagine for a while, how would we survive on this planet without water? We absolutely cannot! To address water related problems, The Ministry of Environment of Korea invites proposals for World Water Challenge 2025. It is an international competition open to individuals from all around the world. If your solution is unique, innovative, and addresses a local or global water-related challenge, you can get a chance to win fully funded trip to Korea, cash prize, and a trophy.
The global contest 2025, will select proposals of up to 10 individuals who will be invited to participate in fully funded Korea International Water Week (KIWW). The host organisation will cover airfare and accommodation costs. After the final presentation, there will be an awards ceremony on 13-14 November, in Korea. The committee will select 1 ‘THE BEST’ award who will win cash prize up to 10,000,000 KRW. The President of Korea Water Forum will present 2 ‘OUTSTANDING’ awards who will win cash prize up to 3,000,000 KRW.
Here’s a tip: the proposed solutions that use smart, cost-effective, and environment friendly technologies will have a higher chance of winning. Through World Water Global Challenge, individuals and solution experts working in water sector will get a chance to build their own network. Eligibility Criteria for World Water Challenge 2025:
- The ideas submitted must be developed within the past 10 years.
- The competition is open to everyone who is interested in solving water related issues.
- The solutions should be submitted to WWCH 2025’s designated categories.
- Previous participants and winners can participate in this contest with new and different ideas.
- One person or organisation can submit can submit more than one proposal but the solutions should be different.

How to apply for World Water Challenge 2025?
- Applicants have to submit their proposals through application form available on online submission system.
- Email submissions will not be accepted.
- First, sign up with your email address and password.
- Log in with these details.
- All solutions have be filled out in English using the given Solution Submission Template.
- Mention the title of your solution.
- Enter your details in the Solution Provider Information section.
- Fill in your solution information.
- Write a summary of your solution.
- Write the solution description according to the instructions mentioned.
- Upload the required/supporting documents.
- A graphical abstract including schematic diagram, picture, animation must be submitted as a separate file.
- Complete and submit your application form.
