The UNDP Digital, AI and Innovation Internship 2026 invites applications from students and recent graduates. The Paid Internship program is home based and will take place for three months. During this online internship, students will work on any of the areas offered by UNDP’s Hub platform. They will get a chance to conduct research on systems transformation, innovation, and emerging policy approaches. Through program, interns will contribute in delivering digital, data, and AI projects to UNDP country offices. Moreover, they will arrange and deliver webinars, trainings, and learning sessions.
In the domain of Data Policy and Governance, participants will conduct research on data protection and legit use of data. Furthermore, interns will develop trackers and dashboards to monitor data and use these findings for practical purposes. Students will get support in finding new partners and will attend meetings at the UN. For effective communication, participants will prepare content for social media, newsletters, blogs and internal UNDP platforms. They will participate in research activities conducted to find out latest information in digital and technology.
Interns will keep progress track of DAI Hub projects. They are expected to find operational bottlenecks and suggest processes for improvement. To make the United Nations internship more helpful, interns will get a chance to participate in the designing of digital products such as apps, platforms, web apps, and AI tools. They will be working with software developers, client teams, and product managers. In the Research & Knowledge Management domain, interns will update content on UNDP knowledge platforms and internal databases.
