One Young World Rappler Scholarship in Germany

Rappler, in partnership with One Young World, will offer a scholarship in Germany to impactful young leaders. These leaders will participate in a fully funded summit from November 3-6 in Munich. There is no application fee, and all program costs will be covered by the host organization. This is an incredible opportunity for young leaders who are interested in media and journalism. As part of this One Young World Scholarship, participants will join a community chat to discuss challenges faced by their communities.

The One Young World Summit scholarship will support those who are working in the domains of “Anti-Hate” and “Responsible Tech”. Anti-hate category includes journalism that advocates peace, groups that protect minorities and vulnerable communities, or initiatives that oppose violence, hate, and abuse. Responsible Tech category includes individuals who work to protect internet, social media and generative AI users from any harm. It will also include the usage of technology to protect rights.

Through the One Young World Summit 2025, Rappler provides a platform to young people who are working to bring a positive change. It is a well known digital media company which focuses on journalism through efficient use of technology. The organisation is a pioneer in multimedia reporting and mobile journalism in Philippines which breaks live news from the field. It has merged journalists with print, broadcast and tech expertise. Benefits of One Young World Rappler Scholarship in Germany 2025:

There is no application fee.
Participants will get access to One Young World Summit in Germany.
Hotel accommodation from 2-7 November will be provided.
Participants will get air tickets to and from Munich.
Meals (breakfast, lunch and dinner) on conference days will be provided.
Ground transport between the Summit accommodation and the Summit venue will be included.

Eligibility Criteria for One Young World Rappler Scholarship 2025 in Germany:

Applicants must be between 18 – 30 years old.
Applicants should be a national of Philippines.
Applicants should have leadership capabilities.
Applicants should have an experience of creating positive impact in anti-hate, or responsible technology initiatives.
Applicants should have experience in volunteer work.
Participants will have to join a community chat related to an issue important to their community. This communication will be held in the ‘Rappler Communities’ application available on App Store and Play Store.
The scholars will be asked to invite members of their community to join the chat and discuss issues. This chat should take place ahead of the Summit.

Name the organisation you’re working at and your position in that organisation.
Write a short biography of yourself including your aspirations and achievements.
Select the focus area relevant to your work.
Explain the impact your work has created in your community.
Describe the most urgent global challenge and how can young Filipinos help to address it.
