The NUS IRIS Research Internship in Singapore 2026 is a fully funded research programme by the National University of Singapore (NUS). It is open to undergraduate and master’s students from all fields. This programme is called Internship and Research Immersion in Singapore (IRIS). It is a research-based internship, not a job. IELTS is NOT required for this programme. There is also no application fee. Students work on real research projects under NUS faculty and gain strong academic experience in Singapore.
This research internship runs for two to three months. Students are placed in NUS labs or research groups. They learn how research works at a top global university. You will work closely with a supervisor and take part in ongoing research. This programme helps students understand graduate-level research. It is suitable even if you do not have past research experience. What matters most is your interest in research and your academic background. Students also get a chance to experience campus life in Singapore.
The IRIS NUS programme is fully funded, but within clear limits. Selected students receive a monthly stipend, a travel allowance, and free on-campus accommodation. The money is meant to cover basic living costs. It is not a salary. The programme does not provide extra funding beyond what is officially stated. At the end of the internship, students receive a certificate from NUS Graduate School. This certificate is useful for future studies, scholarships, and research-based careers.
