NSTC International Internship in Taiwan

The International Internship Pilot Program (IIPP), offered by the National Science and Technology Council (NSTC) is a paid internship in Taiwan designed to bring in foreign talent by allowing students to experience Taiwan’s strengths in the field of Science and Technology. The objectives of NSTC Interntinal Internship to go forward with the development of important scientific research areas at a faster pace, broaden the global scientific research network, enhance technical proficiency, and provide a strong basis for industrial upgrading. Based on research subjects and domains of the participating projects, interns will participate in related research and learning activities during this paid research internship. Interns will get the necessary support throughout the internship to help them get to know Taiwan and engage in a variety of interactions with local students. After completing the internship for up to 3 months, some interns can also plan to pursue advanced studies or build careers in Taiwan. This internship will be helpful for them as they will get familiar with the nature of work and jobs in Taiwan. IIPP will improve Taiwan’s human resource base in important scientific research areas as new people will be recruited.

By attracting and hiring scientific researchers, the NSTC internship program for international students hopes to draw in talent from across the world. Through this program, overseas students can build their contacts with researchers in Taiwan’s government and business. During this internship for bachelors, masters and PhD students, interns will learn about Taiwan and Silicon Island’s strengths. To improve the effectiveness of scientific research, it gathers, compiles, and disseminates science and technology information for the goals of innovation, competitiveness, sustainable development, and social well-being. It has also integrated and provided with a number of national technology-related information services. STPI is moving closer to its main objective of becoming a global center for policy research due to its strong academic foundation and empirical research skills. Eligibility Criteria for NSTC International Internship in Taiwan:

Bachelors, masters and PhD students can apply.
Students should have foreign nationality and should be studying in foreign colleges and universities.

Applicants’ specialty should meet the core strategic industries.
Foreign nationals are eligible to apply except students from Mainland China, Hong Kong & Macau who are studying at foreign higher education institutions.
Students should meet the key areas of Taiwan’s research and development.

Students with background in humanities and social sciences are also eligible to apply.
Language Proficiency levels in English, Mandarin, or Taiwanese language are required.
Interns can not get funding from any other Government Department.
