Call for applications for the KAS Scholarship Program in Germany. Awarded by Konrad-Adenauer-Stiftung e.V. (KAS), the full scholarship program invites students from all disciplines to study in Europe. The scholarship program 2026 will bring together young individuals who are passionate to create a difference. KAS scholarship program in in Europe for international students  offers both financial and professional benefits.

For KAS international scholarship program, Master’s students will receive scholarship funding of up to €992 monthly for two years and Doctoral candidates receive monthly scholarship up to €1,400 for three years. Moreover, scholars can apply for other allowances including health insurance subsidy, family and child allowance, and research travel grants. Participants will become part of an international network with current and former scholars from around the world.

During the Germany scholarship, participants can join various workshops and seminars, and can even organise their own seminars and sessions. Moreover, scholarship holders receive personal support and guidance throughout their studies and career planning from a support team. Applications are open for individuals from Kenia, Uganda and South Sudan, Tanzania and Ethiopia, who are socially responsible, have outstanding academic performance, and are proficiency in German language. Benefits ofKAS Scholarship Program in Germany:

  • Master’s students receive monthly scholarship funding of up to €992 for two years.
  •  Doctoral candidates receive monthly scholarship up to €1,400 for three years.

  • A health insurance subsidy of up to €120 per month.
  • A family allowance of €276.
  • A child allowance of €250 per child.

Eligibility Criteria for KAS Scholarship Program in Germany:

  • Applicants must be from Kenia, Uganda and South Sudan, Tanzania and Ethiopia.
  • Applicants must demonstrate German language proficiency minimum B2 level, through a Goethe-Institut certificate.
  • Master’s applicants must enroll in a four-semester MA program at a German university.
  • Bachelor’s applicants must have completed minimum two semesters of a BA program at a German university.

Documents required for KAS Master’s and Doctoral Programs in Germany:

For Master’s Scholarship:

  • A letter of motivation.
  • A tabular CV in German.
  • Copies of university certificates, transcripts and records of achievement
  • A reference letter.
  • Proof of voluntary engagement.
  • Proof of German language proficiency at level B2.

For Doctoral Degree:

  • A detailed description of the dissertation project.
A reference letter (from the doctoral project supervisor)
  • A doctoral admission confirmation letter.
  • A letter of motivation.
  • A tabular CV in German.
  • Copies of university certificates, transcripts and records of achievement
  • A reference letter.
  • Proof of voluntary engagement.
