KAIST Advanced Institute for Science-X (KAI-X) is currently accepting applications for its research internship program in South Korea. The KAIST Summer Research Internship 2026 is open to international undergraduate and master’s students seeking research opportunities at KAIST laboratories. The internship program spans 7 weeks from July 1 to August 14, 2026.

This South Korea internship in 2026 offers a highly paid opportunity for students in natural science fields, including Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, Biology, Brain & Cognitive Science, and Medical Science. Doctoral program students are ineligible for this internship; however, additional opportunities are available on our website for them.

Eligibility Criteria of the KAIST Summer Research Internship 2026:

  • Candidate must be an undergraduate or master’s student.
  • Currently enrolled doctoral students are not eligible to apply.
  • Applicants must hold non-Korean citizenship.
  • Individuals interested in natural science fields such as Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, Biology, Brain & Cognitive Science, and
