Applications for the new edition of International Writers in Residence Program in Granada are now open. The fully funded program in Spain will take place from November 3 to December 2, 2025. This international literary program will cover travelling cost and will also provide accommodation at Corrala de Santiago to the selected writers. The global literary program will provide a chance to meet local writers and experience the literary life of Granada.
The International Writers Program 2025 is an amazing opportunity for writers, translators, and literary professionals writing in any language, and living in any country worldwide. The program will help to develop connections between authors from different cities and countries. Two selected literary writers will get international recognition through this international residency program.
During the UNESCO Granada Writers in Residence Program 2025, writers will participate in different workshops, literary, and cultural activities. The Granada UNESCO City of Literature program aims to promote international cultural cooperation and literary development. If you are passionate about literary writing, and have published at least 2 books, this can be your chance to work on your literary project and be in the limelight.

Eligibility Criteria for International Writers in Residence Program in Spain 2025:
- Writers should focus on their literary project.
- Writers cannot participate in other public activities without getting approval from program coordinators.
- Residents should share their residency experience of this program on social media.
- Applicants must have minimum 2 published books.
- Applicants should have upper-intermediate level of English or Spanish language.
- Applicants should provide a summary of the literary project that they will develop during the program.
