The COP31 CCMP Reporting Fellowship 2026 is now open for applications. This fully funded fellowship will bring journalists from developing countries to Antalya, Türkiye, to attend the UN Climate Change Conference (COP31). Participants will report on climate issues and share their stories with people around the world. There is no application fee and no IELTS or other language test is required.
COP31 Climate Change Fellowship will take place in Antalya, Türkiye, from November 9 to 20, 2026. The fellowship is offered through the Climate Change Media Partnership (CCMP), led by the Earth Journalism Network and the Stanley Center for Peace and Security. Since 2007, the program has supported hundreds of journalists from low- and middle-income countries. It helps reporters cover important climate discussions and understand how countries are responding to climate change.
Selected fellows will receive strong support throughout the program. The COP31 fellowship covers round-trip airfare, accommodation, travel insurance, local transportation, and visa cost reimbursement. Fellows will also receive a small stipend to help with meals and other daily expenses. This financial support allows participants to focus on reporting and making the most of their experience at COP31.

Eligibility Criteria of COP31 CCMP Reporting Fellowship 2026:
- You must be a journalist from an eligible low- or middle-income country.
- Previous experience reporting on climate change, environmental issues, or climate policy is required.
- Journalists who have attended a UN Climate COP conference in person before are not eligible.
- Availability to attend the full COP31 conference in Antalya, Türkiye, is required.
- A good command of the English language is necessary.
- A support letter from an editor, producer, supervisor, or media outlet must be provided.
- Applicants are required to submit a short video explaining their planned coverage of COP31.
- At least three recent climate-related work samples must be submitted.
- Participation in all fellowship activities and training sessions is expected from selected fellows.
