The Earth Journalism Network (EJN) is calling journalists to attend the Biodiversity fellowship for Journalists 2026 in Armenia. The fully funded fellowship will bring together journalist from around the world to Cover the UN Biodiversity Conference (UNCBD COP17). For reporting at the conference, fellows will receive helpful resources and technical support. Before COP17, selected fellows will attend a pre-COP online workshop to discuss their queries.

The UN Convention on Biological Diversity COP17 conference  will take place from October 19-30, 2026, in Yerevan, Armenia. The program will cover airfare, accommodation, meals, travel medical insurance and local transportation costs of the selected participants. Additionally, the host organisation reimburse the visa costs and will also provide logistical support to the journalists.

During COP17, fellows will participate in specially designed activities. They will attend an orientation session by biodiversity experts and interviews with high-level officials. Participants will get mentorship from senior journalists who are experienced in covering UN summits. Fellows will get guidance and support from EJN trainers for their story production.
