Call for applications for the ASEF Capacity Building Program 2026 in China. The fully funded three-days event is designed for participants from ASEM Partner countries. Taking place in Kunming, China, the program will run from 7-9 September, 2026. ASEF will select around 20 participants working on policy, program design, institutional practice, advocacy, research, or public dialogue on gender equality. The fully funded program has no participation fee and will cover travel and accommodation costs.
Hosted by the Foreign Affairs Office of the People’s Government of Yunnan Province, the international training program aims to focus on women’s participation in inclusive governance and sustainable development. During the capacity building program, participants will attend a series of training sessions. They will have a cultural tour to know more about China’s history and culture.
The ASEF training 2026 will promote cross-regional learning between participants from Asia and Europe. They will share their knowledge and experiences with each other. Participants will closely analyze the barriers to women’s participation. They will also learn to apply practical tools to the processes. Furthermore, participants will identify strategies for promoting women’s leadership and participation in their own sector and institution. Apply now before the applications are closed.
