The youth leadership program is organized in a hybrid format including both in-person and online sessions. Selected participants will attend the online workshop from 12–14 May 2026 while remaining in their home countries. Later, they will travel to Seoul, Republic of Korea, to attend the in-person main workshop from 8–12 June 2026.

For selected participants, the global leadership program covers round-trip international airfare to and from Seoul. During the in-person workshop, participants will receive meals, accommodation, and local transportation. The Youth Leadership Workshop on Global Citizenship Education (GCED) will bring together 40 youth leaders from ODA recipient countries who have been actively engaged in GCED activities. The program aims to empower young leaders with the knowledge and skills needed to promote peace, sustainability, and global cooperation.

The theme of this year’s edition is “Translating Peace into Action: Leveraging Media and the Arts for Youth Advocacy.” During the international youth leadership training program, participants will take part in interactive sessions, discussions, and collaborative activities with youth leaders from around the world.
