Students often search for ways to gain research experience outside their home country, but finding a simple and accessible program is not easy. The PURE Summer Research Program 2026 in Turkey offers a chance to work on real research projects at Sabancı University. It is a fully funded summer program in Turkey for undergraduate students. This year, 30 students will be selected for this Türkiye Scholarship Program (YTB).
The duration of the program is 7 weeks which will run from 06 July to 20 August 2026. Another advantage is that there is no application fee, and IELTS is not required for this program. Students can apply to multiple research projects based on their interests and academic background, making the program flexible and suitable for different fields of study.
The program covers most of the expenses for selected students. The scholarship includes a round-trip air ticket, accommodation, tuition fee, and access to cultural and social activities. All selected participants are provided with free accommodation. However, only a limited number of students receive the full scholarship. Those who are not selected for the scholarship can still apply for the program, but they will need to cover their own expenses.

Eligibility Criteria of PURE Summer Research Program 2026:
- You must be currently studying in an undergraduate (bachelor’s) program
- You should have completed at least one semester at your university
- You must have a valid university GPA (students without GPA cannot apply)
- This program is not open to high school students
- Master’s and PhD students are also not eligible for this program
- You should have an interest in research and be willing to learn in an international environment
How to Apply for the Turkey Scholarships 2026:
- Visit the official PURE website and wait for the applications to open (accounts cannot be created yet)
- Create your account once the application portal becomes available
- Browse the available research projects and choose the ones that match your interests
- You can apply to up to 6 different projects
- Fill in your personal and academic information carefully
- Upload your latest transcript (unofficial transcript is acceptable)
- Write your Statement of Purpose (300–500 words) explaining your interest in research
- You can add up to 2 reference letters, but this is optional
- If you add a referee, they will submit the recommendation directly through the system
- Review your application and submit it online
