The IAPS AI Policy Fellowship in the USA 2026 is a fully funded opportunity for professionals from diverse backgrounds who want to strengthen their policy skills to address advanced AI challenges. The fellowship runs for three months, from June 1 to August 21, 2026, and is open to applicants worldwide. There is no application fee, and no IELTS or language test is required to apply.
During the mandatory in-person residency in Washington, D.C. from June 1–12, fellows will attend trainings on AI systems and policy challenges and participate in activities such as policy briefings, roundtable discussions, and networking events. After the residency, fellows will complete the remaining part of the program remotely from anywhere in the world. All fellows receive a support budget that can be used for conferences, seminars, and meetings with their assigned expert or coordinator. Fellows who choose to remain based in Washington, D.C. throughout the program will have access to office space and regular in-person events.

Eligibility Criteria for IAPS AI Policy Fellowship in the USA 2026:
