Global South Study Week, fully funded program

The Global South Study Week 2025 is an exciting opportunity for young community activists from Global South countries. The fully funded program will take place in Beirut for 1 week in November, 2025. Participation in this program is absolutely free with no application or any other fees. It will also cover travel and accommodation expenses of the selected participants.

The theme of Global South Study Week in Beirut, Lebanon is “Alternatives in Governance and Sustainable Human Development”, and invites young individuals working in areas including climate, governance, gender inequality, sustainable human development, international politics, and diplomacy. During the international youth program, participants will get a chance to engage in detailed discussions with fellow activists from the Global South Region. They will also become a part of Study Week alumni network.

The Global advocacy program is designed for passionate young people who have background education in development, economics, political or social sciences, international relations, or human rights. The fully funded International program offers activists an amazing chance to enhance their advocacy and participation at national, regional, and global levels.

Eligibility Criteria for Global South Study Week in Beirut 2025:

  • Applicants should be under 40 years old.
  • Applicants should be from a Global South country.
  • They should have a university degree in development, economics, political or social sciences, international relations, or human rights.
  • Candidates must be endorsed by a local, national, or regional NGO.
  • Applicants must be working on advocacy in the fields of development, multilateralism, global governance, debt, trade and investment, tax justice, social justice, climate change, biodiversity, agriculture, or gender justice.
