Eligibility Criteria for Energy Journalism Fellows Program 2026:
- Applicants should be journalists covering energy, climate, or related topics. Those with five or fewer years of experience are preferred.
- Journalists from other fields may also apply. If you do not cover energy or climate topics, explain how energy policy relates to your work and provide relevant writing samples.
- You must be available to attend the in-person seminar in New York.
- Journalists from all nationalities, including the United States, are welcome to apply.
- The program is designed for currently working journalists. Students who are still in school are not eligible.
- Journalists working in print, online, or broadcast media can apply.
- Freelance journalists may also apply, but they must submit a recommendation letter from an editor they have worked with.
- One letter of recommendation from your direct supervisor is required.
