Call for applications for the Council of Europe Training Course 2026 in France. The Council of Europe Training Course 2026 in France is a fully funded opportunity for young people working in youth organisations and civil society. The official training course is called “Youth Advocacy for Democracy and Human Rights.” The course will take place at the European Youth Centre in Strasbourg, France. The main training will run from 28 September to 3 October 2026.
The full program period for the COE Course 2026 is from 27 September to 4 October 2026, including arrival and departure days. The Council of Europe Youth Department will select up to 30 participants. The course will focus on democracy, human rights, youth participation, and advocacy. Participants will learn how young people can take part in decision-making and help shape policies.
The Council of Europe will cover accommodation and meals during the training. It will also reimburse travel expenses and visa fees according to its rules. Participants will also get a chance to learn from Council of Europe experts. In addition, they may engage with members of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe and attend its sessions.

Eligiblity of the Council of Europe Training Course in France 2026:
- Candidates should be 18 to 30 years old, although exceptions may be made if justified.
- They should represent a youth council, youth organisation, youth network, or other youth civil society group.
- They should hold a leadership position in their organisation and be able to continue advocacy work after the training.
- Candidates should be committed to human rights, democracy, the rule of law, and youth participation.
- They should be available to attend the entire training course and take part in follow-up activities.
- They should be able to work independently in English.
- Candidates should live in a country that is part of the European Cultural Convention, although exceptions may be made if justified.
