CALTECH Summer Research Fellowship 2025 in USA is offered to both national and international students to work on research projects related to their educational field. Students will have a chance to select a mentor for themselves who will supervise their work. To be considered for a highly paid fellowship of $8,110, students will submit their research proposals which will be reviewed by Faculty members.
During Summer Undergraduate Research Fellowships (SURF) program, interns will attend weekly sessions by scientists, engineers and Caltech faculty members. After completing their projects, students will submit a written report and give presentation during a seminar or symposium. The fellowship is being offered in diverse subjects related to Science, Engineering, Technology, Mathematics and Economics. Students will use cutting edge research facilities available at University of California to complete their projects.
SURF internship for undergraduate students will be helpful for them in getting admission in graduate programs as well as future research careers. The program will organise exciting social and cultural activities so that students can get networking opportunities. CALTEC fellowship in USA will include student-faculty dinner every week so that fellows can interact with their mentors other than academic discussions.

Eligibility Requirements for Visiting (Non-Caltech) Students:
- Applicants must be a current undergraduate student and eligible to apply for registration in fall semester.
- Candidates must have a minimum CGPA of 2.5/4.0.
- Applicants must complete the second semester or third quarter at their home university.
- Applications must not be under any academic or disciplinary restrictions.
Eligibility Requirements for Caltech Students:
- Applicants should currently be students in undergraduate program at Caltech.
- Applicants should have minimum 2.0/4.0 CGPA.
- Applicants should have completed their 3rd term at Caltech or any other graduate school approved by the University Dean.
- Applicants should be eligible for registering in fall term before starting SURF project.
- Applicants should not be under any academic or disciplinary restrictions.
