The BRICS and SCO Young Leaders Award 2025 is back, and it’s bigger than ever! This prestigious international award will be held in Kazan, Russia from August 18 to 19, 2025, and will bring together young changemakers from across BRICS and SCO member countries. The award celebrates youth-led projects that are making a real difference in the world—whether through media, innovation, social change, diplomacy, or environmental work.
The award is organized by the Academy of Youth Diplomacy, with strong support from the Ministry for Youth Affairs of the Republic of Tatarstan, TV BRICS, and other international organizations. It offers a unique platform for young leaders to gain global recognition, connect with influential networks, and be celebrated for their meaningful contributions to society.
If you are a young founder, innovator, media influencer, or activist aged between 18 and 35, and your work is creating real social impact within the BRICS or SCO member states—this is your chance to shine. Winners will be invited to the official award ceremony in Kazan, where they will receive prizes, enjoy cultural programs, and join global youth leaders—all fully funded.

BRICS and SCO Young Leaders Award Categories:
1. Young Media Influencer of the Year
- Must have 50,000+ followers on at least one public platform
- Content must promote peace, education, sustainability, mental health, inclusion, or dialogue
- No hate speech, misinformation, or extremism
- Must submit impact evidence like engagement stats or media features
2. Social Solution of the Year
- Project must solve a clear social challenge in a BRICS/SCO country
- Should align with UN SDGs (like education, poverty reduction, health, etc.)
- Examples include NGOs, civic tech, public health, awareness campaigns
- Must show measurable positive outcomes
3. Research & Innovation Project of the Year
- Based on original research or innovation with real-world value
- Fields can include science, health, tech, economics, agriculture, etc.
- Must be completed or published in 2024–2025
- Must show results such as publication, prototype, patent, or launch
- Applicants must have at least a Bachelor’s degree
4. Public Diplomacy Project of the Year
- Must promote international cooperation, peacebuilding, or cultural exchange
- Can include youth exchanges, awareness campaigns, or education programs
- Must engage people across different cultures or borders
- Needs proof of outreach like feedback, media coverage, or collaborations
5. Eco-Initiative of the Year
- Project must tackle environmental issues in a BRICS/SCO country
- Should align with SDGs like climate action, clean energy, or biodiversity
- Can include direct action, education, or innovation
- Must show real community or environmental impact
Who can apply for BRICS and SCO Young Leaders Award:
- To be eligible for any category:
- You must be aged 18–35
- You must be from a BRICS or SCO member country
- You must be the author, founder, or leader of the project
- Your project must have been implemented in 2024 or 2025
- It must show measurable social impact in one or more BRICS/SCO nations
