Call for applications for the ASEF Training Program in Indonesia. The fully funded program is offered by Asia–Europe Foundation (ASEF) in collaboration with its co-organisers. It invites early-career professionals for an in-person program titled: Future-Proofing AI: Building Human-in-the-Loop Governance Skills for Rights-Respecting AI. The intensive training program will take place for three days, from 30 March – 1 April, 2026, in Yogyakarta, Indonesia. The program related expenses including air tickets, accommodation, and meals of the selected participants will be covered.
The Asia-Europe training program is designed using a collaborative approach which combines lectures, case-based learning, policy analysis, and combined design activities. The capacity building program will be conducted by experts from Europe and Asia, and intends to integrate human rights principles into artificial intelligence (AI) governance. For the global training program, around 25-30 candidates will be selected from diverse professions, including representatives from industry practitioners, civil society and advocacy organisations, researchers and academics, emerging policy and regulatory professionals.
The three day training in Indonesia includes various learning activities, including both pre-training and post-training sessions. Eligibility Criteria for ASEF Training Program in Indonesia:
