Fiction Writers Program organized by Oxbelly Retreat invites writers from all across the world for one week literary program in Greece. Ten promising fictional writers who are dedicated to enhance their writing abilities, create their literary voice, and participate in cross-cultural discussions about storytelling will receive support from the host organisation. The Oxbelly Retreat is a yearly gathering of storytellers who want to share their ideas and expand their artistic scope.
Fiction Writers Workshop for international students and writers is offered to emerging and unpublished writers of novels and short stories who are 18 years or older than this. The goal of this international literary program is to encourage outstanding narratives in all genres by young and talented fiction writers globally. Writers can select any subject or topic, but the writing should be unique in its vision, written in a compelling voice, and uses persuasive language.
Fellows will participate in workshops and evening literary sessions which will be facilitated by well know staff members and guests. In the next part of the program, fellows will have a short residence to enjoy the peaceful and captivating environment of Messinian and freedom to produce literary work without any time constraints. This is a fully funded workshop in Europe where all the cost of program will be covered by Oxbelly Retreat.

Eligibility Criteria for Fiction Writers Program 2025:
- The submitted work should not be published anywhere online or in print form.
- The writing should be candidate’s own unique work.
- Applicants should be at least 18 years old or above.
- Entries should be submitted before the deadline.
- Both published and unpublished writers can apply.
- Applicants can submit any kind of fictional prose including short stories and novel manuscripts.
- Applicants cannot submit entries in poetry, lyrics, screenplays, or theatrical plays.
